Instead of thinking "natively" we have to think about the "spellings" in the scheme. Transliterations are essential where there is no native support. Transliteration scheme can be useful for persons who are well versed in latin script/keys or phonetics. It is a pity that we have to learn latin or phonetic alphabets , just to type indic languages.
